The JAMB admission cutoff are applicable only in admissions and for a candidate to know if his or her average score is up to the minimum score approved by Jamb, such a candidate should do the calculation with his or her UTME and Post UTME scores using the calculation method approved by his or her institution.
Moreover, for candidates worrying why federal universities usually place their admission cutoff above 180 as approved by Jamb, kindly note that cutoff point means acceptable minimal score and therefore universities are obliged to ensure that they don’t admit any candidate whose average score is below such limit.
