Dear Prospective Students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka (UNIZIK), we have noticed some acts of scammers who delight in deceiving the public that the sale of 2014/2015 UNIZIK Post UTME forms is ongoing. These set of deceivers also delight in misinforming the public with a fake news regarding the qualification requirements for the Post UTME.

Please disregard such information as the university authorities are yet to make a press release about the 2014/2015 UNIZIK Post UTME. Also no cut-off points have been approved for various Faculties and Departments concerning the Post UTME.

We also want to use this opportunity to clarify the announcement made yesterday by JAMB and the Federal Government through which they approved 180 as admission cutoff point of various universities for the 2014/2015 Admissions.

180 minimal point is only applicable in admissions and not Post UTME cutoff point.

Various universities including Nnamdi Azikiwe University may not fix 180 as their acceptable UTME minimum score for their Post-UTME.

Recall that 180 had always been the minimum cutoff point for previous admissions but some institutions especially federal universities usually fix 200 as their acceptable UTME minimum score for their Post UTME.

The JAMB admission cutoff are applicable only in admissions and for a candidate to know if his or her average score is up to the minimum score approved by Jamb, such a candidate should do the calculation with his or her UTME and Post UTME scores using the calculation method approved by his or her institution.

Moreover, for candidates worrying why federal universities usually place their admission cutoff above 180 as approved by Jamb, kindly note that cutoff point means acceptable minimal score and therefore universities are obliged to ensure that they don’t admit any candidate whose average score is below such limit. However, they are free to fix a point above the general minimal point. This is because each institution has it’s admission quota and if number of candidates whose average scores are equal to or above the minimum point approved by Jamb are more than their admission quota, such institution will have no option than to place higher points as required limits for their admissions.

Federal universities usually have larger number of candidates and that is why their cutoff points are usually higher than the limits approved by JAMB.

Finally, please help us by not making enquiries about issues already addressed by this page. If any information is officially released about the 2014/2015 Post UTME or Admissions, we shall immediately inform you via liveschoolnews.com.ng You don’t need to remind us about that.
