American University of Sharjah (AUS), a premier institution of higher education in the Middle East, has concluded plans for an educational campaign in Nigeria to introduce the university’s accredited programs, its tradition of academic excellence and its multicultural campus life to Nigerian students.
Admission counsellors from the university will be in Nigeria between May 24 and 31 to engage with high school counsellors, senior high school students and parents who are interested in learning more about AUS and the excellent academic programs offered by the university.
Dr. Thomas Hochstettler, AUS Acting Chancellor, stated, “Our regional setting and the excellent quality of teaching makes AUS a top choice for students, parents and employers. Our quality of education and student life is unmatched in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and we offer a platform for bright students to fulfill their ambitions in the most multicultural and advanced economies in the world today. We hope this campaign will help increase awareness about our academic programs and the fulfilling student experience that AUS has to offer.”
AUS is accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the United Arab Emirates and by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools in the United States.
The university offers a wide range of grants, scholarships and work-study opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students to help them finance their education to ensure that qualified students get the best education without their financial means being a hindrance.
Highly qualified undergraduate students with limited financial resources may be awarded a financial grant while students with exceptional high school performance may receive a merit scholarship.
Qualified graduate students are also offered assistantships and work-study opportunities.
