About the ScholarshipsTexas State University offers Assured scholarships to all incoming undergraduate students on the basis of a student’s academic credentials (i.e., test scores and high school rank or IB diploma). All incoming state and International students can apply for these scholarships.
Prospective students from Nigeria can apply for these scholarships.
Scope of the Scholarships
These scholarships are guaranteed to all qualified residents and non-residents (including international students) provided you are admitted to Texas State as a first-time incoming freshman and meet the minimum scholarship qualifications prior to your first semester (fall or spring). If you are a non-resident receiving an Assured Scholarship, you also qualify to pay the in-state tuition rate.

- You must submit an admission application to Texas State University
- Submit your official high school transcript
- Submit your official SAT or ACT scores

Types of Scholarship
- President’s Honor Scholarship
Annual Award: $8,000
- Texas State Achievement Scholarship
Annual Award: $4,000
Scholarship Terms
- These scholarships are renewable for up to four years based upon required academic performance.
- For Texas State scholarship purposes, SAT score is defined as the total of the best critical reading and math subscores from a single testing. ACT score is defined as the best composite score from a single testing.
- Any combination of financial aid and scholarships cannot exceed the cost of attendance.
