Nekede Poly Students Awarded
Scholarships by Rector — Six students of the federal Polytechnic Nekede
(FEDPONEK) Owerri were on the 36th Matriculation of the Polytechnic given scholarship by the Rector of the Institution, Dr. (Mrs.) Cele Njoku.
The students are Chidi Ifeanyi of
Electrical Electronics Department, Nwosu Chinonso Paul (Public Admin),
Ihekweme Sampson O. (Office Technology Management), Esther Chibor
Ogadinma ( Electrical Electronics), Okafor Blessing Ogechukwu (Computer
Engineerin Technology), and Onyewuchi Anthonia Amarachi ( Quantity
Surveying).
Delivering her Matriculation address,
the Rector told the students has rules and regulation and that any
offender will be severely punished. She warned them against cultism,
indecent dressing, exam malpractice, dirtiness, falling prey of
kidnappers, rapist, assassin, robbers and cultist. “Manage your time
properly, ensure you attend lectures, do your assignments, tests and
examination, never engage in any form of sorting,” she further advised.
She also urged parents and guardians
highly involved in the activities and upbringing of their children and
wards respectively adding that governing of students is not only the
duties of the school authorities.
Njoku finally said that the polytechnic
has full synergy with donor agencies like PTDF, TETFUND, NCC, NDPC among
others and she added that the alumni association has also been
wonderful in partnership with the institution in the bid to achieve
excellence.
